Mother Triptych. When, Then, Now. 2009
The photographs are an orchestrated assemblage of sculptural forms suspended and supported on a military camp bed covered with butter-muslin.
The three images exhibited in a group exhibition Lost in Transit reflect the time my mother was dying. As with deteriorating health she slowly died, she appeared to glow with love, and an inner wonderment.
I found that the three images reflected the strange beauty and joy of a desperate situation.
